On 29th September, Hemsec hosted its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmilllan Cancer Support. The team enjoyed some cake whilst playing games and having a catch up.
We are proud to announce we raised a fantastic total of £200 at the coffee morning, which Hemsec then matched to make a total of £400.
Well done to everyone in their efforts to raise money for such a worthy cause!
About Macmillan Coffee Mornings
Macmillan's Coffee Mornings are a fundraising event to support people living with cancer.
Here are some examples of how the money raised from these mornings helps:
£71 could help run our Online Community forum for over 3 hours. Typically, that would give nearly 198 people affected by cancer both emotional and practical support.
£100 could pay for a person affected by cancer to attend a health and wellbeing event, providing them with skills to improve the management of these areas in their lives.
£350 could pay for a Macmillan grant that helps a family affected by cancer take a holiday and enjoy precious time together.
£606 could pay for a Macmillan Support Worker for a week, helping patients, family members and carers manage the social and practical problems of living with cancer.
£1135 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for a week, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
