Our Phil Montgomery’s not far behind Chris Richards…
Congratulations to Account Manager Phil Montgomery who passed his 15-year service anniversary here at Hemsec, as Chris Richards was celebrating 20 years.
It’s always interesting to hear a colleague’s story, so we asked Phil about how he came to be working here. He says, “I had been working for a local newspaper and selling advertising space as a field sales representative for close on 10 years. I felt that role had run its course, and I fancied a new challenge. I saw the advert for a sales representative for Hemsec in the very newspaper where I worked!
“I started as an internal sales person at Hemsec, and began to learn about the cold storage industry and the associated complexities. Following a short but steep learning curve, I was appointed Business Development Executive and I guess the rest is history. I have picked up many key accounts which I am proud to say are still with us, and I have added to my skills so I can sell into other market sectors, promoting the ever growing Hemsec product range.
“Why have I stayed here so long? I will simply put this down to the family environment and values that I enjoy working with at Hemsec. It means I experience continued professional development, and I have been given individual support throughout my years here, which has ultimately given me a high degree of self worth and wellbeing.”
